Middle Child Films is a Toronto and Vancouver based production company that collaborates with both critically acclaimed and emerging talent to develop and produce engaging features for a worldwide audience. Established by producer Tony Wosk, Middle Child’s mandate includes developing original projects, adapting critically acclaimed books and plays, and participating in selective co-productions with a focus on narrative feature films, scripted television and documentaries.
MIDDLE CHILD additionally offers consultation for marketing & distribution for Canadian feature film projects throughout any stage of production.
In 2011 Middle Child Films entered into a strategic partnership with Winnipeg based Farpoint Films to co-develop and produce content for film and television, taking advantage of the Province’s lucrative tax incentives to help finance both features and television.

TONY WOSK (PRESIDENT, FOUNDER)

Born and raised in Vancouver, Tony Wosk is a veteran of Canada's film and television industry. Wosk spent time with CBC Television as Executive in Charge of Production, TV Comedy as well as spending almost a decade in feature film financing and distribution. He was the Director of Acquisitions & Development for English Canada for Christal Films Distribution, a position he accepted after spending almost six years with Telefilm Canada as a Senior Analyst for feature films. Tony holds a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from York University's Schulich School of Business and a BA from the University of Western Ontario.
Tony has produced the feature films Levels (2024), The Swearing Jar (TIFF22) starring Adelaide Clemens, Patrick J. Adams, Douglas Smith and Kathleen Turner; The Samaritan starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ruth Negga and Tom Wilkinson, Sorry For Your Loss starring Justin Bartha, Bruce Greenwood and Inbar Lavi, documentaries Lost Heroes: The Untold Story of Canadian Superheroes and The Hundred-Year-Old Whale. He also Executive Produced award winning features including comedy Room For Rent, drama Nose to Tail, and horror Berkshire County In Television he was part of the Banff Rockie Award winning producing team for The Illegal Eater and was a Consulting Producer on the daredevil series Escape or Die! Tony also serves as the lead film programmer for the Just For Laughs comedy festival short film festival showcase Eat My Shorts! as part of their annual ComedyPro section.
